ARTISTIC PROJECTS
Tanriverdi has cultivated a longstanding artistic practice. As one half of the electronic music duo BABUKO, she creates experimental soundscapes that blend electronic music, storytelling, and reflections on identity, belonging, and transformation. Her artistic work extends beyond music into literature, poetry, performance-based collaborations, and community projects that explore resilience and cultural heritage in the context of migration, memory, and belonging. Drawing on her Kurdish Alevi background, she is particularly interested in how art can foster dialogue, healing, and social connection across cultures. Her practice is rooted in the belief that artistic expression can open spaces for perspectives and experiences that are often difficult to articulate through conventional forms of language. Through sound, words, and collaborative forms, she explores the ways in which personal and collective memories shape our understanding of identity, place, and belonging.
